Knowing that you're not alone can be a healing agent for an emotional wound

Counselling

I am a Masters level, registered social worker and I provide counselling for individuals aged 16 and older. I seek to provide an inclusive space, respecting intersectional identities, including BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+ and disability communities. Counselling services are provided in-person in London, Ontario and virtually via phone or secure video platform for Toronto and all of Ontario.

Over the course of the past 20 plus years, I have had the privilege of supporting people in many areas of their lives. My key areas of practice include: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship dynamics, life transitions, pregnancy/post-partum/parenting, fertility, disability, post-secondary education, eating issues, sexual orientation, gender expression, body image and post-pandemic stress/burnout.

Counselling Approach

I believe that a person's well-being requires care for the whole person emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually. The stories we carry about ourselves and our life experiences can have a significant impact on our daily lives. I seek to support clients in coming to their own conclusions about what helps them to find a meaningful path for themselves.

I also believe that the body stores much wisdom to inform experiences. As such, I implement a variety of therapeutic modalities in my work, including: Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness & Self-Compassion, and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy.

Consulting

I provide consultation and supervision services for individual professionals in the mental health field, as well as consultation services for organizations on a variety of topics, including: stress and burnout, vicarious trauma and vicarious resilience. I have also supported organizations during times of change and transition.
